Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Policy
The objectives of the Anti-Ragging Policy are to:
- Create a safe and ragging-free environment for all students in the institution.
- Prevent ragging in all its forms, both physical and psychological.
- Promote a culture of respect and dignity for all students.
- Take strict disciplinary action against those who engage in ragging.
Functions of the Anti-Ragging Policy
The Anti-Ragging Policy will:
- Define and categorize ragging in all its forms.
- Set out the procedures for reporting and investigating incidents of ragging.
- Prescribe the punishments for those found guilty of ragging.
- Establish an Anti-Ragging Committee to oversee the implementation of the policy and to provide support to victims of ragging.
Procedures for Reporting and Investigating Incidents of Ragging
Any student who is a victim of ragging or who witnesses an incident of ragging should immediately report it to the Anti-Ragging Committee. The Committee will investigate the incident and take appropriate disciplinary action against those found guilty of ragging.
Punishments for Ragging
The punishments for ragging will vary depending on the nature and severity of the offence. However, they may include:
- Suspension from classes
- Expulsion from the institution
- Criminal prosecution
Anti-Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee will be composed of senior faculty members, student representatives, and representatives from the local police and administration. The Committee will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Anti-Ragging Policy and for providing support to victims of ragging.
Implementation of the Anti-Ragging Policy
The Anti-Ragging Policy will be implemented by the institution through a variety of measures, including:
- Awareness and sensitization programs for all students and staff
- Strengthening of the security and surveillance system on campus
- Regular inspections by the Anti-Ragging Committee

About:
The College Grievance Redressal Committee has been formed in the college as per the UGC guidlines to adress griviances of studnents and staff on fair ground. The committee work under direct supervision of Principal as chaierperson.The function of the committee is to look in to the complaients recieived from students and satff and judge its merit. The CGRC committee ensuers a strife free atmosphere in the college by encouragin and pramoting cordial students-students realationship and students –teacher relationship.
Objective of CGRC
- To meet timely redress of grievances and concerns by students as and when they arise.
- The main objective of the Grievance Redressal cell is to develop a responsible, and receptive attitude among all the stakeholders so that a harmonious educational atmosphere is maintained in the college.
- Encouraging the students to express their grievances/ problems freely and frankly without any fear of being victimized
- Advising students to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift.
- To ensure effective solution of students grievances with an impartial and fair approach
Fuctioning of CGRC
- The committee will deals with all genuine grievances of Students, Teachers and Staff of the college.
- All complainants file their grievances either by writing in paper to the committee or by online on the website of the college.
- The committee will meet at least once in a month to resolve the grievances if any.
- The number of grievance settled or pending will be report to the Principal in every month.
- The grievance cell will assure that the grievances has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell
Working of CGRC
- All students enrolled Anandibai Damodar Kale Degree College of Arts and Commerce have the right to complain any matter related to academics, and other matters in campus which they feel they have treated unfairly.
- Any kind of student’s grievance or problems students can present to CGRC committee for review.
- CGRC committee follows formal procedure for redressing the grievances as per the guidelines issued by UGC.
- The CGRC committee will assure that the raised issued will be resolved with proper documentation within stipulated period of time.
- Students can registered their complain in writing. The official form available in the admin department or can registered through online form which are available on portal.

OBJECTIVE:
The College Women’s Development Cell was formed to instill positive self-esteem and Confidence in the female students so that they can take the right decision in and for their lives. Spreading awareness among the students about the social, legal and constitutional rights of women in order to prevent the exploitation based on gender.
FUNCTIONS::
- Gender Sensitization: Creating awareness about gender issues and promoting gender sensitivity among students and faculty.
- Counseling and Support: Providing counseling and support services to female students to address their academic, personal, and emotional needs.
- Organizing Workshops and Seminars: Conducting workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on women’s rights, health, safety, and career development.
- Women’s Safety: Ensuring a safe and inclusive campus environment, addressing issues like sexual harassment, and implementing safety measures.
- Research and Data Collection: Conducting research on gender-related issues and collecting data to inform policies and initiatives.
- Collaborating with Women’s Organizations: Collaborating with external women’s organizations and agencies to enhance support and opportunities for female students.
The aim of the Discipline Committee is to maintain the discipline, decorum dignity of the college. The Discipline committee controls the students through rules and regulations by motivating them to convert their negative energies into positive energy. It is keen interest of the discipline committee to teach students to develop good manners and attitude.
Objectives:
- To prevent any in disciplinary activities like lack of attendance, misbehaving with teaching and non-teaching staff or damaging college property.
- The college aims at teaching students to create passionate, enthusiastic, safe, peaceful and friendly environment in the college
- To maintain any activity of the college in disciplinary manner.
Functions:
- To make Rules and Regulation of the college and make every students abide by them.
- To make students aware about maintaining discipline.
- To take action against students who are responsible of disturbing discipline in the college.
- To avoid physical confrontation among students in college premises.
- To prohibit any kind of intoxicating activity like smoking in college premises.
- To support Anti-ragging cell in preventing ragging in the college.
‘Reach to the Unreach’, to facilitate the sensitization of the student to the socio-cultural realities.
The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE) was established on October 12, 1978 and has been recognized as a Statutory Department and one of the authority of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community.
THE EXTENSION DIMENSION (Reach to Unreached)
The college students are enrolled for extension work projects and perform various activities for the social awareness based on various issues / problems in the society such as Save Girl Child, Pollution, Aids, Global Warming, Environment, Tree Plantation, Importance of Education, Illiteracy, Child Labour, Dowry Deaths, Malnutrition, Watershed Management and so many.
The students are creating awareness about these social problems / issues through various activities such as Street Play, Exhibition, Poster Making, Songs, Speech, Survey, Elocution, Seminar & Conferences. For this purpose, students are actually going to society and involve the community and make them aware of our role in eradicating social problems faced by the society and trying to convince the people human duties as an ideal citizen.
To facilitate the sensitization of the student to the socio-cultural realities, the Department offers extension work projects encompassing social issues for the student.
There are many Extension Work Projects being offered by the department under the two different units for enhancing the employability and IT skills of the student.

UDAAN – THE FLIGHT OF EXTENSION
Every year the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension organizes the Annual Extension
Work Festival titled “UDAAN – the Flight of Extension” in the months of January – February
The objectives of the festival are: –
- a) To create awareness about the extension work done by the University of Mumbai through affiliated colleges in the community.
- b) To create awareness about social issues through various competitions on extension work projects with the focus on College Youth.
- c) To give opportunities to the students to enhance their skills to co-relate with the new avenues in the Field of Management, Education and Entrepreneurship, in this modern technological world.
Our college proudly won First Rank in Poster Competition in Extension Work held at Annual Festival Udaan: The Flight of Extension: 2022-23 hosted by St. Francis Institute of Management & Research on Saturday, February 11, 2023
Our college also won Consolation Prize in Street Play Competition in Extension Work held at Annual Festival Udaan: The Flight of Extension: 2022-23 hosted by St. Francis Institute of Management & Research on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In all 14 students participated in UDAAN 23.
OBJECTIVE:
- The Green Club Committee was formed To create environmental and cleanliness awareness among students and staff using various techniques.
- To educate students and staff for plantation of more number of trees including medicinal plants and maintaining the Institute campus green by using concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
- To use smart techniques for saving and efficiently using natural resources for maintaining the Campus Green.
FUNCTIONS:

- Resource Optimization: The committee aims to utilize college resources, such as classrooms, labs, and faculty, in the most efficient manner, ensuring that all resources are utilized to their full potential without creating conflicts or scheduling gaps.
- Academic Calendar Preparation: The committee may also be responsible for preparing the academic calendar, which outlines important dates, deadlines, and events for the academic year.
Functions:
- Data Collection and Analysis: The committee collects data on teaching load distribution, faculty availability, classroom capacity, and student preferences.
- Timetable Development: Using the collected data and considering various factors, the committee develops a draft timetable that outlines the schedule for classes, labs, and other academic activities.
- Timetable Review The draft timetable is circulated among Teachers for review and feedback.
- Timetable Publication and Implementation: Once finalized, the timetable is published and disseminated to students, faculty, and administrative staff. The committee ensures that the timetable is implemented effectively and addresses any issues that may arise during the semester.

- Committee Formation: The college administration appoints a time table committee, typically consisting of faculty members, representatives from various departments.
- Data Collection Phase: The committee initiates the data collection process, gathering information on teaching load, faculty availability, classroom capacity, and student preferences.
- Timetable Development and Review: The committee utilizes the collected data to develop a draft timetable. The draft is circulated among students for review.
- Timetable Refinement and Finalization: The committee considers feedback and makes necessary adjustments to the timetable. The final timetable is given for review.
- Timetable Publication and Implementation: The finalized timetable is published and disseminated to all concerned. The committee monitors the implementation of the timetable and addresses any issues that may arise.
- Continuous Review and Improvement: The committee periodically reviews the timetable’s effectiveness and makes adjustments as per needed with the IQAC Committee.
